Hi Folks,

Big time personal day today and no time for hardly anything. Certainly no time to write. On top of that I'm supposed to be doing a hike tomorrow and the weather pundits are saying different things. Weekend looks OK, tomorrow, who the *&^k knows. I hope you all have a great weekend...
Ice Conditions Report:
Selected Ice Conditions effective March 21, 2024
I can't actually say that there is nothing out there that can't be climbed. That would be foolish. But for the average, or a little above average climber, that's probably correct. That said, I did hear that there is climbable ice on Parasol in Dixville Notch. Not sure how that will be after we get a foot of heavy wet snow on Saturday. Regardless, here's a few pix I took today just to document things.

VALLEY CYCLING:
I took a chance a few days ago and did a mountain bike ride on the West Side flats. While it felt great to get out, it wasn't the best thing for the hands. SIGH I need to wait 'till I get the cortisone shots next Thursday. FWIW the Ultimate Single Track trail is always nice, but it's obvious that folks aren't riding it as much as they used to. It really does need some work with the clippers.

INSTANT BUG REPORT - Bug CON 2:
In general the bugs have taken another drop in intensity, so it's down to a 2 for the time being. We'll see what happens...

Mobile Version Of NEClimbs:
Up on one of the Mount Washington Valley's finest crags and want to know what that climb you're looking at is? Or maybe you're on your way up from Boston and want to check out the Ice Report for your upcoming weekend plans. Or more likely, you're at work just want to daydream about your next adventure. Well if you have a smart phone handy, you can get to NEClimbs from anywhere you have cell service. While it doesn't offer every single feature of the site and it's not an "app", in mobile form, it does do a whole lot and is very useful. Here is the live link to the mobile version of NEClimbs:

I had great times leading at Devil's Lake, where the ground was never too far away, and hard to miss if you should happen to fall to it.
