Hi Folks,

I'm not feeling that great today, so I don't have a lot to say. Other than here's to a great New Year.

I was in the right place, and it must have been the right time... Even tho a snow squall blew through at an inopportune time.

I believe that this is Majka Burkhart (leading) and Alexa Segal...

It was around 33 while I was in the Notch, but the wind has really picked up this afternoon and temps have plummeted. I'm cranking on the wood stove now!
Ice Conditions Report:
Selected Ice Conditions effective December 19, 2025
Friday December 19 at 3:40 - it's 52 degrees and raining1 Almost all of the snow is already off my roof. It's supposed to go below freezing overnight, but get back above 32 during Saturday. You may want to seriously consider giving things a few days to recover. Just sayin...

Mobile Version Of NEClimbs:
Up on one of the Mount Washington Valley's finest crags and want to know what that climb you're looking at is? Or maybe you're on your way up from Boston and want to check out the Ice Report for your upcoming weekend plans. Or more likely, you're at work just want to daydream about your next adventure. Well if you have a smart phone handy, you can get to NEClimbs from anywhere you have cell service. While it doesn't offer every single feature of the site and it's not an "app", in mobile form, it does do a whole lot and is very useful. Here is the live link to the mobile version of NEClimbs:

Then came a bigger fear. Not the threat of imminent injury, but the fear that if I didn't go back up, I would be a chickenshit forever.
