Climbing Area Index / Cathedral Ledge / Intimidation (5.10b)
|
Look for 2 right-facing corners between Cathedral Direct and Repentance. Intimidation is the left of the 2 cracks. |
One of the more popular crack climbs on the cliff. It's name says it all.
Pitch 1: Climb the left-hand corner, layback up past a bolt, then step left to the belay. A #7 nut slung together with another nut for added reach protects the 1st crux. (5.10b)
Pitch 2: Climb the short dihedral to the top and then traverse left to the Bonfire Ledge. (5.8)
Pitch 3: Climb a flake up to a finger crack, then continue up the crack to a belay on the left. (5.9)
Pitch 4: Climb the right-angling crack (5.9) past some bushes. Continue up a corner to a slab, following a dike to the top in the woods on the right.
