Rock Routes at Found Ledge: grouped by Area, sorted by Name
Description: An area that's surprisingly accessible with a nice a variety of climbs in a back-country setting. If you are a moderate leader The Little Slab has 6 nice moderate climbs that only require draws and a single 60 meter rope. The climbs on the Lumberjack Wall are all difficult trad crack climbs, but they are easy to set up for a top rope. The Littlest Slab, just left of the Lumberjack Wall has 2 very easy, and barely protected, slab climbs. The climbs on the Main Wall are all serious undertakings and often wet.
Directions: While it has a reputation for being difficult to find, it's actually quite easy and only about .5 miles and less than 30 minutes from the road. From Rt 16 in Conway drive 4.9 miles west on the Kancamagus Highway and look for an indistinct pullout on the left. If you see the sign for the Ham Brook you have gone too far. Coming from the direction of the Covered Bridge at Passaconaway Road, go 1.3 miles and look on your right.

Park on the side of the road opposite from the river. Walk into the woods, turn left and follow an old logging road / stream bed until you come to a very obvious stream going uphill and some rocks on your right. Head uphill and follow the right side of the stream for about 10 minutes. There are a few fairly large down trees you will need to traverse. Eventually you get to a mossy slab, there is often a cairn there. Cross the stream and head up the side-hill onto the berm and follow it uphill keeping the stream/gully on your right. Eventually you should see the cliff and several huge boulders. The Lumberjack Wall is on the left, The Little Slab is in the middle and the Main Cliff, which is often wet and dark, is on the right.
