NEClimbs - information for New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont rock and ice climbers
IceCON 1. Climbs just coming in or only in upper elevations like Ravines.
1 out of a possible 5
Climbing Area Index / Humphrey's Ledge / Anniversary (5.9)
Directions:  Hike along the left of the cliff until you get to the last obvious climbs. Walk downhill about 300' to a clean slab with a line of bolts in the middle and two more bolts just right of a small right-facing corner. Anniversary is the route by the corner.
Description: The route is a nod to Al's wife Alyssa as it was done the day after their 12th anniversary.
Pitch 1: Step up and place a gray (.4) Camelot in the flake. Climb the face just right of the flake, keeping the 2 bolts on your left. Place a gold Camelot under the nose. Continue right keeping the nose on your left to a good stance on the left side of the small roof on Gaggle Of Geese. A good hold for your right hand above the left side of the small roof allows you to step up and left onto the side of the nose and clip the bolt on top of the nose. Continue stepping out left onto the point of the nose (nice exposure) and pull up onto its top. Continue up and trend left past 2 more bolts and then straight up to the 2-bolt ring anchor shared with Gaggle Of Geese.

Gear: draws, a .4 Camelot and a large (#2 or #3) Camelot
Descent: rappel the route
History:  September 14,2009 - Al Hospers, Judy & Joe Perez
