Climbing Area Index / Humphrey's Ledge / Wabi Sabi West (5.6)
Directions:  Walk left along the cliff and follow the alternate trail that takes you to the Geriatric Walls. Continue past that area until the trail kind of runs out and you are on a leafy slope. Look for a 150' slab with a horizontal tree trunk at the top. Near the bottom is a curvaceous Beech tree. This is Wabi Sabi Way. Just west, and a little down hill from the start of Wabi Sabi Way, find a short, steep, mossy wall.
Description: While it's only 5.6, it IS an R!
Pitch 1: Climb the short, steep, mossy wall (25') to gain a ledge with two 6" trees. Tend left, up a moderate (but run out) slab on small edges. Protection is gained, finally, under thin, right facing flakes. Mount a shallow corner to reach a less steep slab, following good holds and placements to reach the Wabi Sabi Way belay. (Note: The snag described in the 2005 route description has shifted away from the line of the routes.)

Gear: Small to medium wires and camming units should suffice.
Descent: rappel the route with 2 ropes
History:  September 2010 - George Hurley, Mike Kahn, Jeff Wilson
